I am writing to provide an update regarding the Monmouth County Reclamation Center.
In addition to the established Complaint Hotline, the County is now offering the Online Odor Report Form. Residents may submit a report at odorreport.co.monmouth.nj.us. The Online Odor Report Form is also available on the Monmouth County Reclamation Center website, www.mcrcnj.com, under the Reclamation Center tab.
Our goal is to track and document odor concerns to better understand and minimize them. Information submitted through the hotline or online form is reviewed by Monmouth County staff and entered into a tracking system used to analyze odor complaints and environmental conditions. If you detect an odor, please report it within two hours of first noticing it. This allows staff to investigate more effectively.
After submitting an Online Odor Report form, residents will receive a confirmation email that includes a case number and information about next steps. An Environmental Health Specialist will contact you to discuss your Online Odor Report Form, and the case will be investigated and documented. Residents may also track the status of their Online Odor Report Form by selecting the Report Follow-Up link under the Reclamation Center tab. An email notification will be sent once the investigation is complete.
As a reminder, residents may also report odor complaints by calling the hotline at 732-559-ODOR (6367). This hot line is available 24 hours a day, days a week. Calls are received by an on-call Monmouth County Environmental Health Investigator who will respond to odor complaints.
